2026 Schedule
Jan 23 | Sustaining purpose without overidentifying with achievement or productivity
How do you explore your passions and curiosities without putting too much currency on achievement or productivity? How can we dive into exploration without those two forces entering the path and muddying our lens?
April 24 | Cultivating Inner Companionship: Befriending the Self Through Change
Can you be your own secure base? As your meditation and attachment repair deepen, the internal landscape shifts. How do you stay close to yourself through change, loss, or transition? This session explores befriending your inner world as a secure base, one that evolves with you.Secure relationships allow both deep intimacy and authentic independence. This session explores how to honor both needs without swinging between fusion and withdrawal, developing fluidity in relational space.
July 24 | The Art of Staying With: Building Tolerance for Vulnerability
Explore how secure functioning develops through the capacity to remain present with emotional intensity (your own and others’). Learn meditative techniques for widening your window of tolerance, so vulnerability becomes a gateway to connection rather than shutdown.
October 23 | Emotional Wealth: Cultivating States of Generosity, Warmth, and Care
Going beyond regulation, this month explores how secure attachment supports pro-social states. Participants deepen their capacity to generate and share emotional nourishment through lovingkindness, gratitude, and embodied presence.
Feb 27 | Nurturing Mature Intimacy and Relational Depth
This is about building relationships that are both free and deeply connected (no more feeling trapped).
With secure attachment as the foundation, the next step is cultivating intimacy that honors differentiation, love that allows both closeness and individuality.
How do I maintain connection without merging? How do I love without rescuing, withdrawing, or controlling? How do relationships evolve as both people continue growing?
May 22 | Transforming Shame into Dignity
Shame is often the deepest residue of insecure attachment. This month, we’ll work with how shame shows up in your practice, relationships, and self-perception, and how to metabolize it into self-respect and authenticity.
August 28 | Embodied Awareness: Listening to the Body’s Attachment Signals
A deep dive into somatic cues that reveal attachment conditioning. Participants learn to track subtle sensations, impulses, and nervous-system shifts, using mindfulness to develop a compassionate relationship with the body as a source of wisdom.
November 27 | The Attachment–Meditation Bridge: Using Practice During Relational Stress
A practical exploration of how to apply meditation in the moment during challenging relational interactions. Participants learn micro-practices that support grounding, attunement, and connection under pressure.
March 27 | Beyond Security: Making Space for Authentic Exploration
Once safety and security are internalized, exploration becomes the natural outgrowth. This involves discovering what truly matters, expressing creativity, and aligning one’s actions with values rather than defenses.
What feels meaningful to pursue now that life isn’t organized around survival? How do I listen to my authentic impulses and curiosity?
June 26 | Intimacy and Freedom: Balancing Connection and Autonomy
Secure relationships allow both deep intimacy and authentic independence. This session explores how to honor both needs without swinging between fusion and withdrawal, developing fluidity in relational space.
September 25 | Navigating Disappointment Without Collapse or Withdrawal
Disappointment is a critical attachment moment. This session teaches how to stay connected through letdowns, neither attacking, withdrawing, nor self-abandoning, using meditation to metabolize unmet expectations in real time.
December 25 | Building Secure Decision-Making: Choosing From Alignment Instead of Fear
We examine how attachment conditioning shapes choices in work, relationships, and self-care. Learn how to sense into “secure alignment” and make decisions rooted in clarity, values, and steady awareness rather than old patterns.
I’m George Haas, and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Founding Teacher of Mettagroup, an organization committed to helping people heal their attachment injury, be more secure and live a truly meaningful life.
I had a lot of difficulties in my early life, and there was no way to get people to help me with them.
Today, my main drive in offering the Meditation x Attachment program series is simple…
It’s payback. Not the revenge-type. My mission today is to pay it forward, honoring the people who helped me save my life.
Over the last 40 years, I have accumulated this knowledge about how to heal attachment injury (through both learning and experience). My mission in this program (and at Mettagroup at large) is to share this blueprint in a distilled, manageable way so that people don’t need to go through years of confusion and suffering like I did.
Within 40 to 150 sessions, studies show that you can go from insecure attachment to securely attached. That’s profound, swift results (we’re talking ~ 3 years). I spent most of my life (5 decades) exhaustively exploring all the wrong paths, so it’s my true honor to share what’s worked for me and hundreds of my clients, with long-lasting and life-enhancing effects.

“I just want to share, that it's been six years, a big journey, a big journey.
But guess what? I've earned secure. Today I found out that I've earned secure. I know a lot of you won't know what that means, but some of you might. I got my attachment assessment inventory back today and I'm secure. I'm better than I've ever been.”

What our clients are reporting
Clarity (and a lot of it)
Clients report having a deeper clarity of self, which offers relief, acceptance and feeling understood. Not only that, but they also report having clarity of their attachment disturbances and what triggers them, which allows them to navigate life more intentionally and discontinue the harmful patterns that once ran the show.
Exploration
Deepen your understanding of your primary exploration (the search for meaning) and balance it with your secondary exploration (the gathering of resources). Beyond earning security, the two aspects are deepening interpersonal connection and developing your resilience in exploration.
Higher Self-Acceptance + Confidence
The capacity to accept oneself for one’s full humanity begins more and more available. This allows for the releasing of perfectionism, seeking validation from others, and proximity seeking behavior that oftentimes holds many people back who are insecurely attached.
More Empowered
With clarity and the tools to skillfully live and relate to others, our clients feel more empowered in their life, relationships and career. They know what situations may trip them up, or what types of behaviors activate their attachment strategies. This results in higher self-agency to make choices that support one’s wellbeing, and meet one’s needs more (all needed in order to live that meaningful life).
More Authentic Self-Expression + Access to Purpose
Our clients feel free to express themselves authentically (and find their own portal of expression). An ALIVENESS is untapped, along with greater energy, inspiration and motivation. They tap into their unique sense of purpose, courageously pursuing it (for some, it’s the first time in their lives!)
Courageously set boundaries
Our clients report that they can now set boundaries, stemming from the self-clarity, self-agency and empowerment they now embody. Saying an aligned ‘no’ is easier to do (without being overcome by guilt, shame, or self-abandoning behavior). They start to choose aligned opportunities more and more, whether that’s a roadtrip that’s been calling out to them, or the new job that truly meets their vision and needs.
Connection + Relationships Thrive
Collaboration becomes easier and more manageable, whether they’re engaging with their team, colleagues, clients, or even family, friends, and romantic partner. Our clients report a sense of ‘belonging’ that becomes available (no longer feeling ‘other’ or outside in relationships). Whether you’re desiring a deeper connection, to be more heart-open, or to be more influential or impact at work, all of these elements enhance.
